Brown Elephant Cocktail - Disney Recipes at Home!

Brown Elephant Cocktail

The Oasis, Epcot, 2013 International Food and Wine Festival
The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is almost up there with Christmas and Halloween as my favorite time of the year.  The air around the World Showcase is filled with wonderful smells, and there is always something new to try.  From new dishes to tasty desserts to what I have on the menu today - cocktails!

As with many of the cocktails I encounter at the Food and Wine Festival, I'm not 100% sure that they are Disney exclusive or invented, but I am doing them Disney style from the recipes provided by Disney, so there's that!  If you're curious about Amarula, it's a cream liqueur made from the marula plant - a particular favorite of elephants, hence the name of the cocktail!

Yield:

1 Cocktail

Ingredients

  1. 6 ounces Coca-Cola
  2. 2 ounces milk
  3. 1 ounce Amarula

Directions

1. Mix Amarula and milk in a small cup, set aside.

2. Fill a glass (large enough for a 9 ounce drink) about halfway with crushed ice.  (If you keep your ingredients cold enough, you shouldn't need to put the drink on ice, but we'll go with the Disney-recommended way for this recipe!)

3. Pour Coca-Cola over ice.

4. Pour Amarula/milk mixture over Coca-Cola.

5. Stick a straw in and give it a good stir.
